Join Visionary Songstress and renowned Pagan priestess Wendy Rule in the beautiful setting of Mindful AF in the Dandenong Ranges for a sacred Midwinter Solstice workshop and ritual to welcome the reborn Sun. WHAT TO EXPECT We’ll begin by creating Sacred Space and Casting Circle, welcoming the energies of the Solstice. After sharing songs, myths and stories related to the Solstice, Wendy will guide us into a ritual release of the old, waning year, so that we can let go of what no longer serves us, and create space to welcome in the waxing year. After a short break, we will enter back into ritual and use song, dance, meditation and spell work to harness the energy of the Solstice Sun, and recharge our own creative fires. We will have opportunities to share our experience and our Solstice goals. ABOUT THE SOLSTICE The Midwinter Solstice, also known as Yule, is the shortest day and longest night of the year, and is one of the the 8 sacred festivals in the Pagan Wheel Of The Year. At the moment of the Midwinter Solstice the Sun begins to gain in strength and the days begin to grow longer. It is the beginning of the waxing year, and therefore heralds an energy of rebirth and hope. It’s a powerful time to embrace the healing and creative energies of our beautiful Sun.
