I create my music as an expression of my soul. As a practicing Witch, naturally my music is going to contain many references to, and explorations of, my spirituality. Witchcraft is a beautiful and wild spiritual tradition that honours and strengthens our deep connection with the Cosmos, and especially with the magical planet Earth.
My music explores many of the themes and symbols of modern Witchcraft: a love of Nature, a willingness to explore deep emotion, an acknowledgment of the spirit world, and recognition of the wisdom contained within the world’s mythologies. Darkness and light are seen as equally powerful and beautiful. The cycles of Nature and the constant change in seasons and moon phases become a guide to the deep soul journey.
It’s not such an unusual thing for music to have a magical and spiritual purpose. All the ritual music of traditional cultures – Aboriginal Australian and Native American Shamans, folk music from across the globe, Gregorian chants and gospel music, share this same goal: to alter our consciousness and bring us in contact with the Divine.
I’m no more a Wiccan songwriter than I am a Scorpio songwriter, or an Australian one, or a female one. I’m just living and writing and singing and exploring my heart and soul - and I happen to be an Australian Scorpio Witch!

Witchcraft
Modern Witchcraft is a form of Pagan spirituality that draws from the ancient wisdom of our ancestors, and is in constant relationship with Nature. It certainly has no connection with the Christian concept of ‘The Devil’. It’s a deeply ecological movement that is rapidly increasing in popularity, and is creating strong communities of wise and loving people across the planet.
My practice of Witchcraft is loose and wild –mostly improvised. I draw on the old Pagan rituals and traditions, but I also like to make things up as I go. A word, or a thought, or an emotion becomes crystallised and honoured through music, dance, solitude, ritual, reflection, observation, wild fairy play with fellow journeyers – and always love love LOVE LOVE LOVE.
There are so many ways of celebrating and practicing Witchcraft. The trick, I believe, is to follow what you love, for that is the way of your soul. Everything can be a tool for magic and growth, a move toward your spiritual centre. Your passions add fuel to your magic – so follow your bliss. Paint, dance, make herbal brews, read tarot, chant, drum, dream, think, feel, run, create, cook. Always for the good of all. Always according to the free will of all.
My music – both the writing and the performing – is my main tool for connecting to the divine world of Nature and Magic. Many of my songs explore the nature of Goddess and God through the characters in the ancient mythologies of the Celts and Greeks. Through these myths I explore the complex divinity of Love.
Magic, Love, Music – it’s all the same.
My live performance is ritual. I invoke the elements; I dive in and feel each song. I journey, I trance. And this is nothing new! Music has been part of spirituality since the beginning of human culture. Waves of sound move Matter. We are affected by what we hear. Rhythm shifts our consciousness. Melody moves us to Otherworlds. I consciously enter the role of Shaman when I perform. I aim to open door to areas unexplored. Everything is vibrating, the microcosm of cells, atoms, particles, light. The macrocosm of Sun, Galaxy, Universe. Everything singing its own unique song.
